Wonderful explanation… One more point to add to it… 2NF is optimal for most of the applications.. The more the normalization, the more is the data redundancy…It makes the update and delete more time consuming, although searching is easy. But search is also an issue in case of complex joins. I guess I am right. Please do correct if this is not so..
