What is an IVR -(interactive voice response)
A phone technology that allows a computer to detect voice and touch tones. The IVR system usually respond with pre-recorded or dynamically generated audio to direct the caller .IVVR is an evolution of IVR .IVVR allows automatic video contents and video calling.
Now video calling is the new buzz word every where in the country. With the adoption of 3g technology by mobile service providers high speed internet and telephony has become a reality. This is not just a technological advancement , it will have a widespread and long lasting effect on the way in which business are done. Video conferecing and video calling has been in the market for a long time but its adoption rate was very low because of high call rates. But now things are going to change as cost-effective video conferencing can be built on Asterisk using advanced video capabilities of the DiaStar Server solution.

We had attended OSIdays Asia’s largest conference happened in Chennai.
About OSI Days
Open Source India (formerly LinuxAsia) started in 2003, with the mission to accelerate the growth of adoption of Open Source in Asia. Till date, the overall mission of Open Source India remains the same. A key attribute of Open Source India is that it tries to bridge the gap between the ‘community’ and the ‘industry’.
While OSI provides a platform for advocacy of principles powering Open Source, majority of its content is focused on topics that are related to the industry. Thus, the primary target audience of OSI Days is techies. Different tracks are designed to address different segments of techies, such as: software developers, IT implementers, CIOs, and CEOs and CTOs (of IT firms), etc.
However, techies alone are not responsible for all business and policy decisions–and reaching out to those, who do make such decisions, is also a goal that OSI tries to attain. Again, specialized tracks are designed to address issues this elite audience faces. Thus, one often finds academicians, bureaucrats, government officials, senior decision makers from SMEs and corporate, etc attending Open Source India too.
OSI Days is organized by the ‘Forum for Open Source Initiative in India’ (FOSII), in association with LINUX For You magazine, and powered by the EFY Group of publications. Ref : http://osidays.com/about
We had attended this conference to build our technology updated and explore our network. This conference was a very good experience and we attended useful sessions .
We enjoyed all sessions . I will blog about all those sessions one by one.
